Remodeling This Website

So far so good. I have gone back to implementing my own CSS files rather then relying on another person's work for website design. If you click on Original Website, you can see what I am transitioning this website from. Let us call this a retrofitting of my website to the spirit of the original GeoCities, of which this website got its start, yet maintain usability with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

You might be asking, when this port is finished, what will happen to the old web space? It will still be used, but I plan to do some CSS work with that space as well. One possibility is to use the space as a "corporate" website, showcasing what I have done and can do.

Information Technology Outside the Mainstream is not just a tagline. It represents what I can do whether it is building a website, or writing a custom application. Just because some software development product or technology is trendy does not mean that it is the best tool to use for the project.

Ever wondered why Windows users are targeted by cybercriminals and scammers alike? It is because Windows came preinstalled on the majority of desktop and laptops, a practice that has been going on since 1990. (Mac OS-X comes in a close second for similar reasons.) Cybercriminals and scammers go where they can make the most money. By going non-mainsteam, you minimize the possibility of being targeted...and that ultimately saves money and aggravation.

There is another reason to go non-mainstream. If you learn only mainstream products and technologies, that is all you will ever learn. If you learn about products that are outside the mainstream, you think in creative ways, and solve problems by thinking outside the box. Speaking of learning...
